Subtle Changes.

Stunning Confidence.

You’re ready to make a change to your hair, but you’re not quite ready to shout it from the rooftops. You’re looking for a subtle transformation—a “my hair but better” kind of solution. 💁🏻‍♀️

You’re a bit hesitant about trying alternative hair because you don’t want people to notice you’re wearing a hair piece. You’d prefer that your hair stays out of the spotlight and isn’t the topic of conversation.

It’s perfectly okay to care about this—it’s all part of the process. We all start somewhere, and there’s no judgment here. The goal is to find what works best for YOU.

If you’re going to go for alternative hair, it’s crucial that it looks completely natural and undetectable. It should blend seamlessly with your own hair, offering a subtle change that makes people think you just got a great new hairstyle.

Rest assured, achieving this with alternative hair is absolutely possible!

Let’s find you the perfect subtle solution and get you feeling fabulous.

“MY HAIR”... BUT BETTER

Hair Topper
Extensions

If you’re dipping your toes into the world of alternative hair, chances are you’re thinking about two things: covering up those thinning areas and adding a little extra volume to your natural hair.

And let’s be real—you’re probably wondering, "Is this going to be too much hair?" Totally fair!

No one wants to feel like they’re wearing a helmet or have anything that screams wig (or worry about it flying off after a night of dancing or a gusty day!).

Here’s the good news: while there’s a bit of a learning curve, I’m here to make it all super simple and stress-free for you.

For thinning at the crown, a well-fitting hair topper is like magic—it covers those areas and adds a little extra fullness, blending right in with your own hair. Easy, right?

But if your hairline is still going strong and you just want some extra thickness through the ends, extensions are a sneaky little trick that can give you that perfect boost without being too obvious.

Hair Topper Options

If you’re after that "I woke up like this" natural look, go for smaller toppers or those labeled as “low density.”

It can also help to avoid hair textures labeled as "fluffy" since that can make it look like a lot more hair than it actually is.

For early-stage hair loss, a small cap (under 6”x6”) gives you just the right amount of subtle coverage without overwhelming your natural hair—think of it as a little boost, not a total takeover! As your hair loss becomes more pronounced, you’ll want to size up!

A larger cap (over 6”x6”) provides better coverage and clips into healthier areas of your hair, which helps avoid damage.

Comfort and coverage? Yes, please!

Whichever size you choose, just remember that having at least one full layer of coverage (even if it's very light coverage) makes color and texture matching so much easier. It can also help with blending at the hairline for a more undetectable look.

So try to curb your fear about it being "too much hair" because if it's not enough hair, it can actually be harder to hide.

Also, don’t forget about cap thickness. A thinner cap blends in beautifully with your hairline and keeps everything looking seamless and totally under the radar.

Extensions Options

In the early stages of hair loss? Extensions can be a great way to add some volume without anyone noticing a thing.

Just make sure your natural hair is strong enough to hold the extensions and that the wefts are well-hidden for that "no one can tell" look.

But if your hair loss is a bit further along, extensions might be trickier to keep undercover and could feel a little heavy.

Plus, the extra weight could stress out your natural hair if it’s not up for the challenge.

So, as your hair loss progresses, you might want to rethink the extension game to keep everything undetectable, comfy and damage-free.

If you want to try them out, I suggest trying an affordable clip-in set first before doing anything semi-permanent. Being able to clip them in and take them out will minimize any damage.

WHAT'S NOT WORTH IT?

Wigs:

Wigs can be a big leap, and it’s totally normal to feel a bit nervous about whether people will notice. Even with low-density wigs, it can feel like you’ve suddenly got way more hair than you’re used to, which might feel like too much right now. On top of that, they can totally change your hairline which can make you feel extra self-conscious.
If you’re not quite ready for that drastic change, there are easier ways to dip your toes into the alt-hair pool!

A High-Density Topper:

A very large topper or one with a lot of volume might sound like a quick fix, but it can easily overwhelm your look. If you do need more coverage, keeping it lightweight and low-density will add just the right amount without making it feel like too much hair. We can totally balance coverage without going overboard!

Semi-Permanent Installations:

Semi-permanent options that require professional installations with glue or tape can be super convenient for some people, but it might feel a bit too locked in for where you are right now. Since you’re still getting comfy with the whole alternative hair thing, it’s probably best to stick with something easy to pop on and off. That way, you’re in control and can experiment without feeling stuck—and your natural hair will thank you for it, too!

"WAIT A SEC, WHO ARE YOU AND HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL THIS?!"

Oh hey! I'm Lacie, nice to meet you!

I'M SO HAPPY YOU FOUND YOUR WAY HERE 👋🏼

Picture us meeting at a cozy outdoor café. I’d probably greet you with a warm hug (unless you give me the 'no thanks' vibe with crossed arms—in that case, personal space fully respected! 😉).

Over gourmet coffee and buttery croissants (because, yum!), we’d chat like old friends.

We might swap stories about our hair loss journeys—the struggles, the emotions, and that feeling of losing part of our identity. I bet we’d hit it off right away because even though every hair loss story is unique, the emotions are often the same. Finding someone who truly gets it? Instant connection.

My own hair loss journey started 20 years ago when I was just 19, and discovering alternative hair changed everything. I’ve worked 1:1 with over a thousand women, helping each one navigate the world of toppers, wigs, and enhancements. Believe me, I’ve tried countless pieces myself, so I know what works—and what doesn’t!

Now, I get to nerd out on all things hair, finding solutions that help women feel like themselves again. It’s not about hiding or meeting some beauty standard—it’s about reclaiming your power and confidence.

Just like we’re sharing coffee and pastries, I’d happily share my favorite pieces and help you find the ones that make you feel amazing.

Thanks so much for being here. You’re part of this loving, encouraging community, and I can’t wait to support you on this journey! 🩷
